Ladakh Annual Festival - Tour
It is a major event organized every year by the J&K Tourism Department, in collaboration with the local communities and the district administrations of Leh and Kargil from 1st to 15th September. Its main objective is to revive and promote the richness, depth and pageantry of Ladakh’s centuries-old culture, traditions and folk heritage for world-wide appreciation and enjoyment.

The inaugural function is held on grand scale at Leh with a spectacular procession in which various cultural troupes and village contingents participate in full ceremonial costumes, singing songs and performing various types of dances to the tune of the traditional orchestra. At the Polo ground, where the procession terminates, the participants break into a variety of folk and popular dances, presenting the best samples of the region’s performing arts.

 
   
Day 01: Arrival Leh : Reach Leh and get a warm welcome from the tour representative on day 01 of the Ladakh Annual Festival tour. Check in at the hotel and leisure for rest of the day. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02: Full day at Ladakh Festival : Enjoy Ladakh Festival Celebrated every year in September in Leh, Ladakh Annual Festival is the inauguration ceremony of Losar festival and is celebrated on a massive scale. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Leh Sight Seeing : Go on a sightseeing tour of Phyang monastery . In the afternoon visit Matho and Stakna monastery. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04: Leh - Sumur (Nubra Valley) : Head to Nubra valley via Khardungla pass . On arrival, transfer to the Silk Route Cottage/Camp. Later afternoon visit to Samistaling Monastery and Panamic Hot Springs. Overnight stay at The Silk Route Camp.

Day 05: Nubra Valley Sight Seeing : After breakfast  proceed for a visit to the White Sand Dunes at Hunder. You can also enjoy the camel ride (on own). Later visit Hunder and Diskit monasteries . Overnight stay at the Cottage/Camp.

Day 06: Sumur to Leh : After breakfast Proceed for Leh and drive via Khardungla pass the World Highest Motorable road l. In the evening explore Leh bazaar for souvenir. Later you can visit the festival ground. Overnight stay at the hotel at Leh.

Day 07: Leh Sight Seeing : Full day sightseeing tour of Leh  Visit places like Shey, Thiksey and Hemis monastery. Overnight stay at hotel at Leh.

Day 08: Leh to Uleytokpo : Drive from Leh to Uleytokpo and on the way visit Alchi monastery. Also walk to the beautiful village of Mangyu after taking lunch. Overnight stay at Uleytokpo camps.

Day 09: Excursion to Lamayuru : Start your day with a morning excursion to Lamayuru Monastery. Overnight stay at Uleytokpo camps.

Day 10: Uleytokpo to Leh : Drive back to Leh in the morning and enroute visit Likir and Spituk monastery. Also visit Stok Palace and museum in the evening. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 11: Departure : Transfer to Leh on and board a flight for the onward destination
