Day
01:
Arrival – Leh :
Arrival
on Leh Airport you will be met our representative and drive towards
hotel for 06 nights stay. Mysterious dust –covered Leh sits in a
fertile side valley of the Indus, about 10 km from the river.
Encircled by stark awe-inspiring mountains with the cold desert
beyond. It is the nearest experiences of Tibet in India. Leh
developed as a trading post and market, attracting a wide variety of
merchants from Yarkand/, Kashgar, Kashmir, Tibet and North India. Day
at leisure for acclimatization. Evening walk upto Samker Gompa & Leh
Bazaar/leh Monestry. Samker Gompa is little up in the valley, , which
is opened to visitors in the morning and evening only. The Gompa
belongs to Yellow Sect & was founded in 18th Century. The Gompa is the
seat of the Head Lama of Ladakh & founder of yellow sect, Tson-Kha-Pa.
The temple walls have recent painted of figures including Sakyamuni,
Avalokiteshwara, Padmasambhava, Tson-Ka-pa and green Tara. After
Samker, visit Leh Monestry and walk around leh bazaar. Overnight stay
at hotel in Leh.
Day 02
Leh – Local Sightseeing
:
Morning sightseeing of Ladakh hall of fame Museum, Magnetic hill,
Gurdawara Shri Patthar Sahib,
Ladakh hall of fame museum: The Hall of Fame is a glorious museum
constructed by the Indian Army. It is worth a visit for every citizen.
You can see the memorabilia, eminent defense personalities with
biographies, images and weapons used during the Kargil and other key
strategic battles fought in Ladakh and belongings of the enemy
soldiers found at war site. All the martyr and the gallantry awards
are also mentioned there. Magnetic hill: Defying the Law of gravity.
This place is close to the Gurdawara Shri Patthar Sahib. It has been
noticed that when a vehicle is parked on neutral gear on this metallic
road the vehicle slides up. Gurdawara shri pattar sahib: The Shrine
known as Gurdawara Patthar sahib is situated about 25 kms. Short of
Leh town on the Leh-Srinagar road. Built in the everlasting memory of
Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the great prophet who sanctified the place by
his sacred visit during the year 1517 while on his second missionary
tour (2nd Udassi 1515-1518). The Guru reached here via Nepal, Sikkim,
Tibet, Yarkand and Leh after having spiritual discourses with the
Sidhas at Mount Sumer (Central Himalayas).

Day 03 Leh – Alchi
:
Morning drive
to Alchi, en-route visit Basgo fort, and Spituk Monestry. Basgo Fort
one of the top 100 endangered World Heritage sites and comprising of a
500 year old citadel and a 400 year old mud brick Gompa. Spituk
monastery standing on a conical hill with three chapels was founded in
the 11th century but the buildings in a series of tiers with
courtyards and steps date from the 15th century. The Yellow-Hat
Gelukpa monks created the precedent in Ladakh of building on
mountain-tops rather than valley floors. You can have a good view of
the countryside around.

04:.Alchi
– Lamayuru – Leh : Morning, proceed for full day excursion to
Lamayuru via Uleytokpo. The 11th century monastery, one of the
earliest seats of lamaistic learning and most picturesque monastery in
Ladakh. The oldest monastery of Ladakh. The Lamayuru “Yungdrung”
Gompa is remarkably built on a rock around 125 kms west of Leh on the
Leh Srinagar highway. It belongs to the Dringungpa order of Tibetan
Buddhism. The history of the monastery begins with the visit of
Arahat Nimagung to this place, when there was merely a lake here. It
is said that Arahat made a prophecy that a monastery will come up at
this spot and he made offerings (prayer with grains of corn) to the
Nag serpent spirits. The corns mixed with the earth and formed in the
shape of Swastika (Yungdrung), later it came to be known as Yungdrung
Monastery. The Great translator Rinchen Zangpo constructed a temple
here in the 11th century. Naropa also visited Lamayuru and meditated
here. Gelukpa or Kadampa school of Tibetan Buddhism initially looked
after Lamayuru but later it was taken over by Dringungpa order. Its
monastic festival is called Yuru Khabgyat, takes place on 17th and
18th of 5th month of the Tibetan Calendar. Overnight at hotel in leh.

05:.Leh
– Hemis/Shey/Thiksey : Morning, precede for full day city tour,
visiting Shey, Thiksey & Hemis. Shey – it was the ancient capital of
Ladakh and even after Singge Namgyal built the more imposing palace at
Leh, the kings continued to regard Shey, as their real home. The
importance which was attached to Shey - the seat of Ladakh's heartland
- is attested by the enormous number of Chorten about the village,
particularly around the palace complex and barren plain to the north
of the road. Thiksey – is one of the largest and most impressive
Gompas. There are several temples in this Gompa containing images,
stupas and exquisite wall paintings. It also houses a two - storied
statue of Buddha which has the main prayer hall around its
shoulder. Hemis – which is dedicated to Padmasambhava, what a visitor
can observes a series of scenes in which the lamas, robed in gowns of
rich, brightly coloured brocade and sporting masks sometimes bizarrely
hideous, parade in solemn dance and mime around the huge flag pole in
the center of the courtyard to the plaintive melody of the Shawn. The
moan of the eleven feet horns, the boom of drums and the clash of
Cymbals. Hemis was found in the 1630's by Tsang-ras-pa under the royal
patronage of Singe Namgyal, Hemis is the largest and richest of the
Ladakh Gompas. It nestles into the mountain side a little way up a

06:
Leh – Khardungla Pass :
Halfday
excursion to Khardongla pass, which is the highest Motorable pass in
the world 5600 Mtrs and has been recorded in the Gunnies Book of World
Records. At the top enjoy the nature beauty of snow-capped mountains.
In the late afternoon return back to the hotel. Afternoon
Sightseeing of Spituk & Phyang Monastery.Spituk
– 8 Kms from Leh, Spituk stands majestically atop a hillock
overlooking the Indus valley for miles. Many icons and fine "Tangkhas"
are to be found in this 15th century monastery. Phyang Monastery, this
is 17 Kms from Leh, built by Tashi Namgyal in 16th century A.D. and
belongs to the Red Cap Sect of Buddhists. overnight stay in hotel in

Day
07:
Leh – Kargil :
Drive
to Kargil via Khalse, over Namiki-la (12,200 ft.), Mulbekh where there
is a Chamba statue carved out of a single rock about 144 ft. high,
over Fatu-la (13,489 ft.) which is the highest pass on Leh - Srinagar
road and visit Lamayuru monastery which is the unique and oldest
monastery in Ladakh. After viewing fascinating view of granite colour
soil rocks drive down through kangaroo curves to Kargil. Distance of
about 230 kms will be covered in about 10 hrs. overnight in hotel at
Kargil
Day
08:
Kargil – Srinagar :
Early
morning leave Kargil for Srinagar enroute seeing the village of Drass
and it is said to be the 2nd coldest inhabited place in the world. And
cross Zojila pass 11,200 ft high and which remains closed for more
than 6 month because of the heavy snow fall in that area arrive
Sonamarg and stop for Tea. After tea proceed towards Srinagar and
there you will be transferred to Houseboat. Rest of the day free for
rest. Evening relaxing shikara ride on dal lake. Overnight at
Houseboat/Hotel in Dal lake.

09:
Srinagar - Pahalgam :
full day Excursion
to Pahalgam (2133 mts) also known as ‘The valley of Shepherds or
Trekker’s Paradise. Pahalgam is the most famous place for Indian Film
Industry. On the way visit Awantipura ruins, Saffron fields One of the
most beautiful places on earth, the town of Pahalgam offers
breath-taking views. One can just enjoy the town of Pahalgam trek to
some of the most beautiful places on earth. One can trek to Lidderwat,
Kolohoi Glacier or to Sonmarg. Pahalgam is also the entry point for
the famous Amarnath Cave, a holy site for Hindus. Overnight at
houseboat/Hotel in Srinagar.

10:
Srinagar – Gulmarg : Full
day Excursion to Gulmarg (8700 ft i.e. 2652 mts), known as ‘Meadow of
flowers. Discovered by the Kashmiri romantic poet in the 16th
century who was inspired with its grassy slopes covered with wild
flowers. It is one of the India’s premier Hill resorts. Gulmarg today
is not merely a mountain resort of exceptional beauty – It also turns
into India’s premier Ski resort in winter. The Gondola Cable Car
offers rides to the upland meadows of Kongdori and beyond to the top
of Apharwat range to a height of 14000 ft for viewing the Himalayan
Peaks in summer and for downhill skiing in winter. Overnight stay at

Srinagar – Departure :
Transfer
in time to the airport to connect onwards destination flight.
