Booking Conditions

Booking:

On receipt of the booking form, a confirmation invoice will be forwarded to you, accommodation and all other arrangements for your holiday are confirmed. Than a contract between you and Ladakh Journeys is established. A contract exists between us when a confirmation invoice is issued. If a particular hotel or similar is not available we will offer a suitable alternative. If the alternative offered by us is not of an acceptable standard, we will return the deposit and no booking will arise. And contract automatically gets wiped off.

Payment:

Payment for the holiday is due 02 weeks prior to your arrival in Ladakh. If the payment is not received by the due date we may treat the booking as cancelled. We will retain your deposit. If you have booked your holiday within 03 weeks of the date of departure, the total cost of the holiday will be payable at the time of booking. hotels require a full payment to confirm accommodation. In such cases we will notify you and ask for a deposit payment for those hotels.

Changes or cancellation of your holiday:

In very rare cases we might need to change your holiday programme due to unforeseen conditions, Occasionally, we may have to make changes and we reserve the right to do so at any time. Most of these changes will be minor and we will advise you them at the earliest possible date. We also reserve the right in any circumstances to cancel your holiday arrangements. If it is necessary to cancel your travel arrangements, we will pay to you compensation. If we make a major change to your holiday, we will inform you as soon as possible if there is time before your arrival in Jammu & Kashmir. You will have the choice of either accepting the change of arrangements, accepting an offer of alternative travel arrangements of comparable standard from us if available (we will refund any price difference if the alternative is of a lower value), or canceling your booked holiday and receiving a full refund.

The compensation that we offer does not exclude you from claiming more if you are entitled to do so. Force Majeure: This means that we will not pay you compensation if we have to cancel or change your travel arrangements in any way because of unusual or unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control. These can include, for example, war, riot, industrial dispute, terrorist activity and its consequences, natural disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions. If you wish to amend a booked holiday, an amendment fee of Rs.750.00 will apply for each amendment. Any additional costs incurred for amendment of arrangements will also be payable.

Our Price Policy:

Each Tour will be priced on Standard/Deluxe/Premium accommodation throughout the itinerary including transfers, guides where stated. Ladakh Journeys will build bespoke itineraries on an individual basis and include as little or as much as you require. The cost does not just include the basics, you will receive the benefit of top quality and the help and advice of our specialists. We are also a licensed and registered tour operator. We work hard to ensure we offer the best rates available for our service and advice. However, should you receive a lower quote which is for the exact same holiday itinerary please do contact us to initiate our price match policy. At Distant Holidays we pride ourselves on our personal service which is why we would really like to ensure that we have explored every possible avenue to offer you the holiday and price which meets your needs.

Complaints:

If you have a complaint on any of the services provided by us within the terms of the contract, initially inform your local guide or representative, who will do all possible to resolve the problem. Should the complaint be of a serious nature please contact our Office (address will be on service voucher). Any expenses incurred on telephone / facsimile or telex from will be refunded against production of the proper receipt of such charges.
